Donate Material Goods

Your material donations support women and families impacted by homelessness and domestic and family violence.

Thank you for interest in donating material items to WAGEC! Due to differing needs of the women and children we support and storage capacities, we work on a request basis. 

The best way you can support WAGEC is to sign up to our Material Donations Program newsletter! Sign up to the newsletter below, and periodically we will send you an email with our current donation needs.

If you are able to provide any of the material items requested, together we will organise a suitable time for you to drop off your donations to our Redfern site.

What material goods can you donate to WAGEC?

WAGEC encourages the ethical donation of material goods, and is committed to only accepting items that can be used by our teams. Charities spend an estimated $18 million a year on waste management and disposal in Australia, and goods often end up in landfill. Please remember that if you wouldn’t give an item to a friend, you shouldn’t donate it.

If you have items to donate that have not been requested via our Material Donations Program newsletter, please carefully check the list of items we cannot accept:

ITEMS WE CANNOT ACCEPT:

· Adult and children’s clothing, underwear, bras and shoes

· Bedding, sheets and towels

· Electronics

· Baby car seats

· Furniture and homewares

· Books, toys, and miscellaneous children’s items

Once you’ve checked the list, please email us at donations@wagec.org.au with a description of the items you would like to donate. If we can accept them we’ll be in touch to arrange a drop off appointment.

Our donation drop off address is 33 Renwick Street, Redfern 2016, by appointment only.
