VOLUNTEER JOBS BOARD

Read on to find out what volunteer roles we are currently recruiting for:

HANDIWORK

This is a Casual Volunteer role. We are looking for tool-savvy volunteers who want to support our refuge sites with handiwork assistance. This is a powerful way to provide tangible support to WAGEC clients and frontline teams.

SITE SUPPORT

This is a Core Volunteer role. We are looking for volunteers who would like to volunteer weekly on Fridays at one of our refuge sites, assisting our frontline team with sorting donations, organising supplies, and other site support tasks. This role is a hands-on way to make a difference as part of our refuge team.

PAMPER ACTIVITY FACILITATOR

This is a Skilled Volunteer role. We are looking for volunteers who would like to lead group activities or provide pamper experiences such as massage, manicures/pedicures, hairdressing, and more. Use your skills to improve wellbeing for the women and families WAGEC supports!

GARDENING

This is a Core Volunteer role. We are looking for volunteers with a green thumb, who would like to volunteer regularly (timing flexible, likely fortnightly) assisting in the gardens at one of our refuge sites. This is a great way to spend time outside, while helping improve the refuge environments for the families we support.

DONATION DELIVERY

This is a Casual Volunteer role. We are looking for volunteers who have a driver licence and access to a car, and who would be able to assist on an ad hoc basis (during the hours of Mon-Fri 9am-4pm) with delivery of donations from our Head Office to our various refuge sites.

This is an important role helping us get crucial supplies out to the communities we support.

COMING SOON: ACCESS MENTORING

This is a Program Volunteer role within WAGEC's Access Mentoring Program. Access is a free mentoring initiative for WAGEC clients, offering support and encouragement as they work towards study and employment goals. Becoming an Access Mentor is a wonderful opportunity to build your leadership and communication skills, while directly contributing to advancing other women's lives.

Access Mentors are recruited through the Volunteer Collective. Mentor intakes occur quarterly depending on program need and capacity. The next intake is expected to be in school term 2 2026. In the meantime, we encourage you to consider additional volunteering roles within the Volunteer Collective. There are many fantastic ways to get involved!

Don’t see what you’re looking for? We’d still love to hear from you!
